The conference place

The conference sessions and meetings will be held in MAZURKAS Hotel ( located in Ożarów Mazowiecki. It is a small town in suburban area of Warsaw (see the map). The hotel is situated 15 km away from the center of Warsaw and the distance to the Warsaw Chopin Airport ( is approximately 24 km.

The hotel has long-standing experience with regard to the organization of conference events, as well as guarantees comfortable accommodation. The hotel rooms prices are reasonable and much lower than in the center of the city.

How to get to MAZURKAS Hotel

From Warsaw Chopin Airport:

  • by taxi: directly from the airport- there are three taxi corporations recommended by the Airport: ELE TAXI, SUPER TAXI and SAWA TAXI. The price of the taxi depends on the time and (in average) is 80 - 120 PLN (about 20- 30 EUR).
  • by train from Warsaw Chopin Airport to Warsaw West Railway Station and then by train to Ożarów Mazowiecki in direction of Sochaczew or Łowicz. From the railway station in Ożarów to MAZURKAS hotel is approx. 8 minutes on foot.

Using own transportation (cars):
Warsaw can be easily accessed by car - A2 highway links Warsaw and Berlin and A1 links Warsaw with Bratislava and Vienna. The hotel is located at the national road No. 92, approximately 4 km to West from the exit 'Warszawa Zachód' on the express road S8.

WARSAW - useful information

The climate:
July is the hottest month in Warsaw with an average temperature of +18oC, however maximal temperature during the day-time could reach +35oC and during night it can decrease to about +10oC. July is also the most wet month. Average number of precipitation days is equal to 14.

In numerous restaurants and bars located in the city the food from all over the world can be found. In addition to Italian, Russian, Chinese, Jewish and many other restaurants especially recommended is, of course, traditional Polish cuisine. It is based on different kinds of meat, fish and vegetables. A special place in Polish kitchen is occupied by dumplings which are available in many bars as the regional kind of 'fast food'.

Places worth seeing:

The historical part of Warsaw is located in surroundings of the Old Town. At present it is not only the oldest part of the city but also the place of cultural venues. Warsaw's Old Town has a unique atmosphere, there are many historical buildings such as Royal Castle, St. John's Cathedral and townhouses, which were originally built between the fifteenth and nineteenth century.
Warsaw is green. There are many parks and gardens inside the city. Most known is Royal Łazienki Park with Palace on the Island, Old Orangery and Amphitheatre. It is a place with the most beautiful planned area in Warsaw and one of the most beautiful in Europe, equally stunning in terms of its greenery and architecture. The city of Warsaw is divided into two parts by the biggest Polish river Vistula. Its banks are great for walks on warm summer evenings.

Friday Excursion to Toruń (facultative)

Toruń – a nice old city on the bank of the Vistula river. This is the birthplace of Nicolaus Copernicus. Toruń is called Cracow of the North. In 1997 the medieval part of the city was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site. In 2007 the Old Town in Toruń was added to the list of Seven Wonders of Poland. For more information see:
