Welcome to ISIMS 2017
Welcome to the 26th International Conference on Ion Mobility Spectrometry in Ozarow Mazowiecki (Warsaw), Poland
Ion mobility spectrometry technology has grown from specialized security and military devices to high performance analytical instrumentation used in academic research and a broad field of applications; it has also become an enabling feature for mass spectrometry to measure the otherwise impossible. In the past 26 years, the annual conference of the International Society for Ion Mobility Spectrometry (ISIMS) has been serving as the essential link to a core group of ion mobility spectrometry researchers and pioneers. Once a year, we get together to share our research achievements, new ideas, experience and joys.
The conference encompasses many technical aspects of ion mobility spectrometry, from cutting edge research to novel applications. The conference also provides unique networking opportunities for you to join and enjoy the IMS research community. In addition, the short course, which precedes the conference, gives an excellent introduction to the theory and practice of IMS to those new to the field.
The 2017 ISIMS Conference is organized by two military institutions: Military University of Technology (MUT) and Military Institute of Chemistry and Radiometry (MIChR). Both institutions have some experience in IMS technology. It is a great honor for us to host scientists and reserchers working in the field of IMS. We look forward to seeing you at the ISIMS 2017 in beautiful Poland!
Jaroslaw Puton (MUT) and Miroslaw Maziejuk (MIChR)
